2016 saw 27.34 tonnes of food donated, and 30.7 tonnes of food distributed to a huge 2,121 people in crisis. This amounts to massive 25 per cent increase in demand on last year.
With foodbanks like ours sadly more in demand than ever before in the UK, families are struggling to feed themselves. The stress of being hungry and desperate can lead to a range of health issues, including negative mental health effects. So your help – either from donating food or funds – really does matter in these tough times.
