We rely on the support of our local community for food donations and finances.
So we want to say thank you to everyone who is continuing to donate food and money to enable us to help people in food crisis. The fact that people are still considering how to support our foodbank during this time is a credit to the community.
If you are happy to drop off food donations, there are donation points at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Iceland and Co-op in Truro. and at Spar in St. Agnes
Please note that only food purchased in supermarkets can be put into their collection bins.
Alternatively please telephone 07716 325599 (Monday 9 am to 5 pm, Wednesday & Friday 9 am to 1 pm) or email [email protected] if you would like to drop off your donation at our Truro Foodbank stores.
If you are self-isolating, you can make a financial donation online instead. Please click on the red donate button on the top of the page on the right hand side.
Our foodbank works using a voucher referral system.
Customers need a foodbank referral voucher number. Most organisations that give out foodbank voucher numbers can be contacted by phone, email or text during lockdown so you should still be able to get a voucher number. Eg. if you text the word ADVICE to 78866 Citizens Advice they will call you back.
If in doubt about this please call us on 07721 711669 (Monday 9 am to 5 pm, Wednesday & Friday 9 am to 1 pm) so we can talk through your circumstances and advise you who you can contact to get a voucher number.
NEW OPENING TIMES::
Monday 15:00 – 17:00 at Truro Methodist Church
Wednesday 10:00 – 12:00 at Truro Methodist Church
Friday 10:00 – 12:00 at All Saints Church, Highertown
Please note we are closed on Bank Holidays.
To minimise contact to protect both our customers and our volunteers we are having to modify the way we are operating. Please follow the Coronavirus guidelines: wear a face covering if you can and stay at least 2 metres apart. If there is bad weather please book in with us on arrival and then wait in your car or follow other instructions.
Regrettably, we’re unable to offer the hot drinks and biscuits and the usual chats but customers will still be made welcome. We are making every effort to keep open, but also to keep everyone safe.
Please don't come if you're feeling unwell, showing Coronavirus symptoms or have come into contact with someone who has.
Please remember that, if you are unable to attend Truro Foodbank, a relative, neighbour, friend or whoever is supporting you can collect your food parcel. Please just let us know who will be coming in.
If you require any other information or assistance please telephone 07721 711669 (Monday 9 am to 5 pm, Wednesday & Friday 9 am to 1 pm) or email us on [email protected]
... and we're here to help if that happens.
We know for many people this might be the first time they have considered coming to a foodbank. These are unprecedented times so please do not think there is any stigma or judging involved; we are simply here to help people who are struggling with food crisis.
For help or information please call us 07721 711669 (Monday 9 am to 5 pm, Wednesday & Friday 9 am to 1 pm) or email us on [email protected]
We seek an energetic and organised Foodbank Warehouse Coordinator to continue to ensure that our stores areas are run efficiently, coordinating a team of volunteers and coordinating effective stock control and transportation of collections and deliveries.
